In
February 2002, Khyabje Zopa Rinpoche inaugurated the new gompa.
During that visit, Rinpoche invited all the sponsors and the committee
of the Centre for dinner. In that evening, Rinpoche explained
in detail the benefits of the Centre, the importance of having
holy objects (such as statues, stupas, and scriptures) and how
by accommodating holy objects makes the Centre like a temple.
Rinpoche suggested us to place more statues and scriptures at
the back of the existing big statues. Rinpoche recommended to
add the following statues in bronze and plated with pure gold:

At
the same night, some very generous benefactors immediately sponsored
some of the statues. We thank them for their very kind support.
Rinpoche
said that it would be most beneficial for the Centre to have these
statues. As people come to do practice, make offering or even
just have a glance of so many holy objects each time they enter
the Centre, extensive merits will be created. Rinpoche always
says that with holy objects, it is so easy to accumulate merits.
Following
precisely Rinpoche's advice, Ven. Pemba-la went to Kathmandu in
April to discuss with the same sculptor who made the big statues
for our Centre about the project. Ven. Pemba-la placed an order
immediately after discussing the prices, since the statues are
all handmade and hand-painted, it takes time to complete the project.
Right
now, we still need a lot of help to complete the project.

you are interested in sponsoring some of the statues, please fill
